What an absolutely beautiful story. I never had a relationship so close to my grandparents, so it fascinates me with those that do. How wonderful that they are who you credit for teaching you so much. They sound like amazing people.

I just wanted to thank you for coming by on my SITS day and commenting. I really do appreciate you taking the time. And yes, my husband and I do have a silly meeting eachother story. Our whole dating relationship was crazy. Just don’t ask our engagement story…’cause there the romance took a vacation. haha

I’ve worked with your Dad for the past several years and I know from his own account about the family values you speak of. You have an amazing family. Your grandmother Sylvia’s testament to all of you, “Remember Me”, is hanging in front of me as a reminder of what’s important. What you have is a rare and beautiful family legacy. I’ve no doubt that she came back from “the deep blue sea” to welcome Grandpa into the next phase of their journey. I think the sad will quickly fade to celebrating the wonderful memories time and time again, through many generations to come. How lucky he was to have such a nice passing with all of you there, at least in spirit.

Oh my goodness. Crying and crying. My grandmas were such a great part of my life. My Grandpa was also but I didn’t get to know him too much before he passed away. I think that is the saddest thing for a child to have to experience. I am sorry that you had to lose them and I know you will always miss them and have wonderful memories. Thank goodness for that.

Almost 76 years…that is incredible! So sorry to hear of your loss as a well. I love to hear of other people that are (or were) also so close to their grandparents. I wish your grandfather well!
