Oh, we have sucky neighbors, too.

I can’t post about them, well..b/c this is a a very small town where every single person is as nosey as they come.

Our neighbor across the street peels out of her driveway at 59 mph and never looks behind her. This is a cul de sac, yes, but, please..lady, my kids aer on bikes! You’re gonna kill ‘em.

The other one across the street is knocking on my door for every flipping thing my son does, sees, says, touches, you get the idea.

Yeah. It sucks. Needless to say, our cul de sac is not one of block parties of get togethers…

I feel your disappointment.

Ha! I am loving these comments. Admittedly, it feels to good to know we're not only the people with *interesting* neighbors.

Ha ha...funny post! I can semi relate. We have a single lady in her mid 60's that lives next to us that is mostly nice and even snow blows our driveway in the winter. But she says really mean things to our dogs when she doesn't know we can hear her. We also have some "little people" that live across the street from us, with their female cousin that is over 6 feet tall. It's an odd picture to see them all leave the house together. I've gone over there a few times and each time they look at me like they've never seen me before. Maybe it's because I'm always saying "take me to your leader". Kidding. :)

I feel you, dude. We have a Drunk Lesbian Landscaper neighbor with pit bulls who causes me to have fantasies about rat poison in hamburger being thrown over the fence. (seriously did not mean to use words 'lesbian' and 'fantasies' in same sentence and sincerely hope it doesn't get you pornbot followers. sorry.)
Long live Passive Aggressive Neighboring!

OMG, I loved this post and it's SO true! My sister lives in a neighborhood filled with young families with children and everyone's friendly with one another. Babysitting each other's kids, cooking dinners for sick family members...it's like Wisteria Lane in the flesh.

But my street....I couldn't even tell you my neighbors' names. There's an older couple right next door to us who we know quite well but that's about it. In fact, one of our neighbors a few doors down moved a year ago and the house has been empty and I had NO clue.

We're hoping to upgrade to a bigger home in the next few years and one of the deciding factors will be friendly neighbors!

ughhh..I can relate, as my husband and I soon grew tired of being the only people hosting anything resembling a potluck when we lived in LA. Now in OC as well, we are blessed with awesome neighbors, with whom we have weekly, if not nightly dinners. Sometimes you just luck out, I guess.

Neighbors can be your best friends or your biggest nightmares. And you never know which until you move.

We've FINALLY gotten some amazing neighbors after being stuck with the neighbor from hell in our last place, and wow. I will throw a temper tantrum when we outgrow our house. Because yeah. As you've said, you can't choose your neighbors.
