Excellent post and beautifully written. My brother is gay and I wish my mother had read your post years ago. They were not speaking terms for years and their relationship has only just recently improved. Thank you for writing this and I hope more moms out there read it.

Love this post! I too hope that in 10 years this will all seem ridiculous. Because honestly it all feels ridiculous to me now; we just need to get everyone else on board!
