My brother moved into an older 1920's fullerton place that has mostly been rebuilt but there are a couple of original walls still left in it and he has a 1 year old to worry about. They will be testing in the next week or so. Fingers crossed that it is safe or fast to be removed if found. (On a side note: You blogs are so well written...I completely enjoy them!) Thx for the reminder on lead! My partner and I just moved into a 1890's renovated apt. building and I am petrified of the dangers of lead. Obviously it has been completely gutted and I have no concerns of lead paint etc, but I DO worry about our water b/c they didn't replace the pipes. We have a smancy water filter...but the fear of it in baths being absorbed into our skin etc- is still there. Thanks for posting this.
