My kids would love that! We love going to musicals, plays and festivals as a family even though my boys are 4 and 5 they have a huge love and interest in all things music.

Hi there! Just found your blog through SITS. Enjoying it!

I recently took my 5yo daughter to a John Mayer concert. http://www.adventuresinparenting.me/?s=john+mayer He’s her favorite singer. She was by far the youngest kid there, but she loved it. I didn’t take headphones, but I knew she wouldn’t wear them if I did. The couple behind us offered us theirs, but I’m pretty sure it was b/c they thought I was a terrible parent for bringing a little kid to a concert. LOL. I’m just happy I have a little girl who can appreciate the same kinds of music that my husband and I like!

Hi Aimee! Great name. Ha! =)

Thanks for your comment! I can't wait to check out your own experience with bringing a toddler to live shows. I might have to check out TMBG the next time they're in town!

This is great! We're taking Harper to her first concerts in June. She'll be almost 5 months old. The Elders and then Yonder. Have a set of the pink headphones (purchased on Amazon) and a sling ready for the experience. We can't wait to get her out to more concerts. Unfortunately it's harder to find good outdoor concerts in Kansas.

Hi Aimee! It's always funny form me to find someone who shares my name! I'm visiting from SITS and really enjoy your blog! I agree that early exposure to music is important. I've been taking my 18 month old to Music Together since he was 10 months, and I just posted recently in my blog about a few concerts we attended. ( http://web.me.com/redshoearts/Redshoearts/Blog/Entries/2010/4/24_A_Musical_Montage.html ) I really should have had ear protection for him at They Might be Giants, thanks for the reminder!
