Since Monday (9/5) was Labor Day and a work holiday, I decided that Glen Ivy Hot Springs would be an awesome escape and as luck would have it, I had a Glen Ivy prize package to use!

I set up the massage at 11am, the Grotto at 2pm, lunch in the middle and plenty of time for Club Mud, Relaxing and the mineral pools. I also talked my husband in to joining me.

After parking in the Glen Ivy lot, just as I took the key out of the ignition, the sky opened up and it began to rain. I was totally bummed! We had arrived at 9:30am in hopes of finding a good spot to relax in a bit before the massage…needless to say there were lots of open chairs that morning as I looked around.

I mentioned how bummed I was about the rain to the front desk and they were happy to help out. They moved the Grotto appointment up to 10a, left the massage at 11a and let us know that if we returned to the front desk within 30 mins of our treatment the entrance fees could be refunded.

So, despite the rain we were able to have a nice time and the staff was able to accommodate us. We even decided to have the entrance fees placed onto a gift card so that we will return to take advantage of the entire resort! The massage was excellent and the Grotto treatment was relaxing too. We even had enough time to take advantage of the steam room and spa within the bathhouse.
