As the Mama of a 2 1/2 year old and a 2 1/2 month old I'm always changing, feeding, burping, etc. As well as laying down kids for naps! We get at least 2-3 solicitors a week. After almost flashing half a breast at a shocked magazine pushing teen (I was in the middle of nursing) I stopped opening the door. "Playing Possum" works a bit, but people see my car and hear my 2 1/2 year old yelling "MAHHH! DOOR!!" So then I started talking through the closed door..."Um, sorry not interested" Then out of desperation one day when an older women rang my doorbell (no joke) 4 times and woke up the kids from a nap (ARGHHH!) I printed up a sad little "no solicitors" sign and pinned it under my doorbell. So, far all has been quiet. But I LOVE your sign. I'm going on line to find a "classy" sign and take down my sad little piece of paper. Thanks for your enjoyable post! AMEN! I hate people coming to my door as well, especially when they make my dog bark and my kid wake up from his nap – way too early! Then they try and sell you something you don’t even want. I like the security system people who ask you a bunch of personal questions starting with, “Do you have a security system for your home?” Uh, don’t you think that’s I don’t really need to share with you people???
