WOW! What a cute post, and so true! Through the years I’ve actually seen couples where the woman is taller, and from afar they always look like celebrities…the woman looks like a model, and a man walking with confidence next to her looks badass.

my hubs is maybe 2 inches taller and I wear heels a lot so usually I tower. We have made it 20 years so poo on the taller guy stuff. lol

One of my dearest friends is tall. She’s also beautiful, smart, accomplished, and confident. I’ve noticed that a lot of other women, who are insecure and feel that they are lacking in one or more of those departments, often have an unfair dislike of my friend. We sometimes joke about the apparent prejudice that some women have towards taller women, but it’s actually pretty sad.

I am 5’7″ which is the average height where I come from. My sister is 5’9″ though. She has dated quite a few shorter men, me, not so much. The men are taller too in my country. Of course it’s about the inside, but it’s fascinating how biology steers us in certain directions.

I actually read before that, on average, relationships with men who are a certain % taller (I forget the exact number) than the women are happier and more successful. I always thought that was silly because I definitely think it’s all about who the person is on the inside. Great post

Growing up in a world locally-here of men (for the most part) that are at least 5’10″… it’s really hard when I date even someone that is as tall as me. (5’7″) But maybe with this eHarmony experiment that I have happening right now, after reading this – I think I’ll open up the options for a guy that’s a bit shorter as well.
